Custom Milling of Ipe
We have an extensive milling facility to custom mill Ipe. Our most common custom milling includes re ripping for width, resawing for thickness, pregrooving for Ipe Clip™ hidden fasteners, and Tongue & Grooving for porch decking. Please feel free to ask if you have a need for a non-standard size, as we can normally accommodate your request.

| Lineal End Matcher We manufacture our custom hardwood flooring in our Buffalo, NY facility with the finest European equipment. This end matcher allows us to produce long custom flooring up to 20' long from any specie, including Ipe. Most manufactures can only produce up to 8' long. This longer length give the floor a more custom look, enhancing the value of flooring. |

| Our CNC Controlled
Weining Molder Our weinig molder is what we use to manufacture crown molding, hardwood flooring, porch decking, and other miscellaneous moldings. The German made weinig molder is considered to be top of the line in the molder industry, allowing us to manufacture items to very accurate tolerances. This machine has six cutting heads to cut wood on all four sides to various profiles such as T&G flooring, Crown molding, Base molding, handrail, etc. |

| The Rotary Planer Conventional planers leave milling defects so we operatate this German manufactured rotary planer for exceptional milling quality. This 9,500 lb beauty has 54 carbide insert cutters and a width capacity of 24", all powered by a 30HP motor! It can perfectly surface Ipe for custom applications with never any tearout or snipe! It will surface pieces as short as 2" long and pieces as thin as 1mm all while maintaining an accuracy of 4/1000" across a 24" width! It also produces a finish that needs little to no sanding at all. |

The Horizontal Bandsaw Here's the second of our two new tools, the Baker ABX Horizontal Bandsaw. This saw is powered by a 30HP motor and can resaw stock up to 14" wide! The very thin 70/1000" kerf minimizes waste; an important factor to consider when resawing thousands of board feet of Ipe. This saw produces resawn lumber of exceptional quality. |

The Belt Sander If your material needs to be sanded our widebelt sander can produce a quality finish. It also ensures a exceptional tolerance on the thickness of the finished product. |

The Straightline Ripper The Extrema Straightline Ripsaw. This 2,600 lb saw can rip up to 3 - 3/8" stock thickness. It has a 15 HP main motor and a 2 HP feed motor. Rip capacity is 14" maximum. This saw is used to rip Ipe to your custom width if you do not see what you need in our standard sizes. |
